After Thessaloniki, just after the Mediterranean Cosmos shopping center and the Magic Park, turn towards Thermi (flyover). We follow the provincial road to Galatista which needs a little attention. Generally the road is good. In the middle of the route there is the village of Ag. Prodromos.  Polygyros is only 15 minutes away from Agios Prodromos and the route despite the curves is very pleasant. After Polygyros we head to Sithonia and to Nikiti. The route is relatively short since Nikiti is about 40 km (about half an hour). After 15 km from Polygyros and if we follow the downhill road to Sithonia which is very good, we reach the intersection of Gerakini and turning left we enter the road of Sithonia. The route is neutral and some of its nice spots are those before Ormylia and from the sea side where there are some good shores. After the intersection of Ormylia and after 10 minutes you will be in Nikiti. We recommend the above route both for its beauty and for the reason that it does not have as much traffic, especially on summer Sundays.

The second alternative route is the most classic that most Thessalonians follow and is the shortest and most comfortable. To follow this route, we only have to take the National Road Thessaloniki Moudania and follow the road in the direction of Moudania. The route is trouble-free, the road is wide long and you are separated from the opposite stream by barriers. We just have to be careful to get out right after Moudania from the exit to Sithonia. The first village we meet after the exit from the National Road is Agios Mamas in which every end of August becomes one of the largest trade fairs in Greece. The next point you should pay attention to before reaching the intersection of Gerakini is the village of Kalyves through which you pass and you should reduce the speed to 50 km. After Kalyves you reach the turn of Gerakini and follow the same route that we describe above. We recommend this route for those who want to reach their destination soon safely and without much fatigue.
